Cookies
We use only non-obtrusive cookies to help us improve and provide you with the best experience we can. A cookie is a small file, logged with your browser that helps us analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used and typical user paths through the site. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website. Aggregated analysis of these log files is used to monitor website and geographical usage. These analyses may be made available to Kegsoft to allow us to measure, for example, overall popularity of the site.
As a condition of use of this site, all users give permission for Kegsoft to use its access logs in this way.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This will mean, however, that your use of our site is not recorded and your visits will not contribute to our efforts to improve our website.
Any information gathered using cookies will not be passed to shared with any third parties.
Data Protection and Privacy
1. Account Set-up
We collect the minimum information about you, sufficient only to create and maintain an account to use the Kegsoft Business Language (KBL) and associated products.
When you register for an account you provide us with a valid email address and create a password. We will give you an account number that allocated via the Kegsoft Account Manager.
When you install a product we record your device number and will alert you if anyone tries to replicate your account details on another machine.
2. Product Purchase
If you decide to purchase a license for full use of a Kegsoft product (an annual subscription or perpetual license), we retain the PayPal transaction reference and minimum information with your account details as a record of purchase. It will not include any personal or banking details. Product activation codes will be sent to the email address registered with your account.
3. Account Personalisation (Profile)
If you wish we will send you information about new products and services via an occasional Newsletter, you may wish to add further preference information.
4. Additional Personal data if you want to use Kegsoft Extended Service products
If in future, you choose to optionally use additional Kegsoft product features such as Kegsoft Groups, KBL Script Exchange, Shared Cloud or Kmail services, we will require some additional identification details for security purposes. This is for your safety as well as ours. Information will be used from a profile that you, the customer, maintains
In respect of 3 & 4 above, any personal data provided to us is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and we only keep your data for as long as we need to in order to use it as described above
Your data will only be stored within the European Economic Area (“the EEAâ€) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).
In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include any personal information you provided, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.
5. Day to day use of Studio Products
When you start-up KBL Studio or other Kegsoft product and are connected to the web (optional), Kegsoft Manager Application will check for any recent product updates and service messages automatically. We may record update version statistics (when you open a Studio product) so we know which product  versions are being used by your account for support purposes.
Periodically, you may be asked to verify your license status by entering your Kegsoft account registered email address and password.
What we won't do with your data
We will not disclose your email address or any personal details that you may have provided to any Third Party outside of Kegsoft.
Security
We take security very seriously. You will notice that this is an SSL site and the lock image is displayed in the web address bar on your browser. This means that any information you provide to us - or us to you is encrypted and not visible over public networks. Please click on the Globalsign logo at the foot of kegsoft pages to see our service details.
All software downloaded from our sites is code signed and has a code sign certificate also provided by GlobalSign to protect your machines.
